The truth is, in maintenance I have to stay super on top of everything to maintain ketosis...or a ketogenic state...WHEN I'M IN....Energized, not hungry, food is very very quiet. WHEN I'M OUT...Tired, hungry, lack of motivation for everything. Too much protein, over eating, both are huge culprits.
I'm always in or out and it takes 3 days to get back in, and by day 5 of consistent structure, I'm FLYING! My mood is up, my performance is high, and I'm getting things done left and right! Ketosis is my happy place! Ketosis gives me this amazing zone of performance!
I get there by managing my macros. I record what I eat and I eat within a range with each macronutrient. I like to record my food when I'm working hard to overcome getting bumped out.
Today I rode the bike hard up the hills..I even cruised back down and took the same hill a few extra times. I'm charging through my morning! I measured my ketones last night...I'm right where I want to be...
