At the end of the Apostle Paul's life He wrote, "I have fought the good fight, I have run the race and I've kept the faith. In the Message it says, "I've believed all the way!"
I wish I had done it that way! I have fought food and lost the battle, given up and eaten my way back into hopelessness and depression let alone the shame and obesity. Hurt from head to toe. Carrying around shame and failure is heavy! Truthfully I’ve fought my food issues and addiction and lost publicly 3 times! Regained all the weight and all-the-shame!
I wish I could say I've run that race and WON! But the truth is I have NOT.
I've failed and I've quit, but I've also COME BACK! I've COME BACK to what works. Truthfully, I'm mostly proud of "I REACHED OUT! I GOT HELP"
If you think we can't see you HURTING and ALONE, you are wrong. If you think you can "DO it your way," how is that working? I
If you think YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE whose failed like this. YOU-ARE-WRONG, I did it FIRST!
Today, it's believing in what really works for me and then Repeat that tomorrow. Today it's opening the door and keeping the lights on because I care about you, I'll repeat that tomorrow.
