“Where will I be in 100 days?” I asked that question in 2007 when I was transforming my life with a lowcarb diet. It was working too. Back then I caught wind of something, “I can really do this!” When you realize YOU CAN, YOU WILL! We all want to be in a better place. We do! Lowcarb set me free enough to BELIEVE AGAIN!
If you know my story you also know, when I arrived at my destination weight, I went back to the foods I was sure I could control. Again over the course of 3 years I lost my battle with food and completely slipped away into it. Obesity, hopelessness and depression engulfed me. Then I came back and this time, it’s been 5 yrs and I am not going back to the foods that I can’t control.
Where will I be in 100 days? I asked myself that question again, with a challenge in mind. 100 days of climbing stairs with the goal of completing the distance of Mt. Everest. It’s an endurance challenge that many are doing and it’s called “Everesting.” I’m on day 21. My clothes to climb stairs after church are in the car. My plan is in place and I am not only stepping, I’m growing.
In 100 days I will be stronger both physically and mentally and I will be proud of my accomplishment. In 100 days it will be cold and winter! In 100 days I will have done something that was HARD and required al ot of me. In 100 days I will be ready for another “something big.”
I removed controlling food and got my life back one step at a time. Today, I chose life! I chose life over sitting around over indulging on good stuff. Eating past full. I pick myself and my future over my food!
