Keto has been around a LONG LONG Time but we’re just now seeing it in LIGHT of being a therapeutic tool that can mangage our biggest health problem out there, Type 2 Diabetes and Obesity. For me, I reached for it because it took away my hunger. When I started it was a DIET.
Keto is basically WHOLE FOOD. Not processed foods, not special shakes, no supplements needed. It’s clean meats, limited green veggies and good healthy fats with an emphasis on fats. Keto brings bloodsugars down because it removed the problematic carbs that RAISE YOUR BLOOD SUGAR. It’s the rollercoaster of bloodsugar and insulin that keeps us hungry and if you have hyperinsulemia you are starving all the time!
But…It’s a life put back together I want to encourage!
What started off as a diet quickly became weight loss and A LOT OF IT! That left the outside looking good but it didn’t touch the person inside. She was addicted to using food to RELAX, RESTORE and COMFORT. She didn’t know who she was, and she felt lost most of the time.
Over these past 5 yrs I’ve not only gotten the weight off but put my life back together. At the core is community. It’s the reason I have focus and hope. It’s what stands with me as I find myself, my voice and my mission all over again. It’s been a JOURNEY back to what I carry deep inside, a call to lift up and encourage others and bring HOPE!
