We are doing “10 Day Challenges” in our communities right now. Challenges that cause you to repeat an action over and over. It leads to awareness, which brings understanding and then something happens. You grow! Growth is what it’s really all about. Growing stronger at managing food and food behaviors. It’s a long road to health and then the journey really begins, KEEPING THE CHANGE!
I’m personally doing a very daunting 100 day challenge. The action is pretty easy, climb 39 flights of stairs each day for 100 days. That will be the equivalent of climbing Mt Everest. It’s a popular Endurance challenge, done on real mountains over a short time span. Mine is a bit more customized.
My friend was very intrigued with my challenge. I knew if anyone wanted to join me it was her. Her biggest roadblock was a trip right in front of her. Not sure of the stair situation and not sure about the quality of the air. She went back and forth. Commitment means a lot to her. “I don’t see how.” she said.
We never quiet SEE how, until there is no other option, but to FIND A WAY. We don’t seek until we commit. We sit back and survey, and ask questions, but only real commitment will open our eyes to real solutions. When there is NO CHOICE, we find a way.
She did! She text me that she was “IN” and she simply conquered the stairs, the heat and the humidity. She’s on her way now.
