You know that part where you pull the string back on the bow? Yep, right there. That can be really hard when you not only have to pull it back but HOLD IT. I found out there are different weights and that it’s called, “bow draw weight”. Average is between 30-50lbs for a small man or woman. So the object is to pull 30lb to 50lbs of weight back and holding it as you still yourself and aim at your target….From my personal experience THAT was hard. Really hard. I could barely pull the string back very far, and I couldn’t stop my wobbling arm from shaking under pressure and I shot the ground….Yep I sure did. That arrow went less than 10 feet and was stuck in the ground. I was not very good under pressure.
Dieting is so much like this. Under the pressure of withdraw or…PULLING BACK from our favorite foods, and coming under restraint of dieting, we are IMMEDIATELY under pressure and have to HOLD ourselves there and THEN FOCUS? Focus? For real? Focus and hold still.
Dieting takes the strength of focus! It takes the strength of knowing and following the rules of said diet and it takes a developed endurance so we can still ourselves, which is nearly impossible when you are straining to pull back from foods we love!
To hit the target with the arrow, you need Strength, Aim and a Target. To hit the diet target you need, Strength
-to do it. Aim-understanding, and a Target-a goal.
#1 Mistake? Not coming prepared to hit the target!
