Archery is just like a diet. It has the same dynamics: A target, focus and strength! And pressure, it’s all DONE UNDER PRESSURE!
In the previous blog I shared how I thought Archery would be so easy and my initial experience showed
#1 It WAS harder than it looked
#2 It took more strength to pull the bow string back FAR enough to shoot the arrow TO the target.
#3I had to calm myself under that duress and aim.
My experience showed me WHAT WOULD BE REQUIRED OF ME to HIT MY TARGET.
You know, so many people quit diets because YOU are NOT hitting your target. You are not factoring in their initial experiences ONCE you miss the mark. Missing bums you out, I get that but missing is the opportunity to reevaluate and develop your skills.
I work with alot of people who diet and want diet/lifestyle coaching and the #1 Mistake is they did not prepare well.
To pass Archery which was required in my PE class back in 1973 I had to DEVELOP Strength, Focus and Aim. Who knew? It looked so easy in the Cowboys and Indian movies, or even Robin Hood made it look possible. How about the girl on Hunger Games?
