There is a big difference between FEELINGS and COMMITMENT
Because I am committed, I meet the "feelings of the day" and climb over them to keep to my commitments.
I might rise and NOT feel like exercising, but THAT'S JUST A FEELING.
I'm on a diet but I don't feel like meal prepping for the day, but THAT'S JUST A FEELING.
I've started this group and that dinner party and don't feel like going because others don't either, but THAT'S JUST A FEELING.
I can discern a feeling from a commitment can you?
Feelings attract my attention and it's nothing to just follow them....it's easy to go with the flow. Commitment REQUIRES AND DEMANDS action, compliance, follow through! Commitments REQUIRE I INVEST!
As the Founder and leader of Find Your Food, my commitment is to be there for you, whether you show or not. I will have the doors open and the lights on! I post daily in FYF Facebook page and video often. Because I am committed. I blog and share my journey because I'm committed! I go to events and retreats we plan because I am committed to having places for us to gather together and support each other. Some times my FEELINGS do NOT want to put it out there at all. But those are just feelings! I-AM-COMMITTED!
Here's a little revelation I just figured out:
As many of you know, I am doing a 100mi bike ride and I have done a lot of Facebook live to show you what commitment to a goal looks like. I've dragged you down into that garage so many times....Last night my family and I had a team meeting because they are both riding different legs of the 100 mi with me. Both of them said, "WE KNOW YOU ARE READY, WE SAW YOU TRAIN DAY IN AND OUT. WE ARE THERE FOR YOU. WE-ARE-COMMITTED-TO-YOU-AND-YOUR-GOAL
My commitment strengthened their commitment!
So,I will keep pressing to keep my commitments so that maybe it will empower you to rise up and do the same.
