Without a doubt the thing that truly LIGHTS ME UP...is Ketosis.
Being on a ketogenic diet and in ketosis has had the biggest impact on my life! Yes, I've lost weight but I've gotten an energy of my youth back too. Yes, I feel good, but I've got confidence too! I'm THRIVING, not SURVIVING!
Ketosis makes training for our 100 mile ride a dream! Exercise LIGHTS ME UP! I've got a drive and an energy to burn-deal going on! I can't wait to go 100 miles. I cannot wait!
For the last few weeks I've extended my time on the bike, going longer and longer, slower and slower. In the pool I've done the same thing. Setting small goals of distance and achieving them.
It lights me up!
Then I saw this happen. My daughter and I made a date to ride...this morning at 6am. 1 half hour. It was raining and gosh, everyone wants to sleep in just a few more minutes when it's raining! I shuffled to the garage, and Miss Sleepy joined me. We started to just ride...soon she was clicking up her gears and picking up her pace, and I just listened...Then she did it again...and soon I was joining in on her intervals...It LIT HER UP! I watched her start to put a demand upon this half hour...
When we stopped, as her Mom, I instructed! "DO NOT FORGET HOW MUCH YOU LIKE YOUR BIKE..."
We each slipped off into our morning. I'm lit up. I feel great! I'm so glad I went down there, as tired as I was, when everyone else was probably sleeping in...We were NOT!
