People linger in the negative self talk, they tend to focus on what they are doing wrong instead of what they are doing right! They expect a big returns on little diet-investment and then they let their lack of faith run rampant damaging their confidence and momentum. And of course...nothing is EVER happening fast enough!
I believe this is how America often diets...And as a coach, MORE than pulling carbs off your plate before you can eat them, I am dealing with these things above!
To diet well you need:
Confidence and Faith
If you don't have confidence and faith in the way of eating you have picked to either restore health or lose weight you won't go very far. You're doubts will detail you. I returned to lowcarb because I TRUST it, I LIKE it and IT WORKS! My confidence and faith are secure and fuel me every day! I can be patient because it WILL work. (Community drives this point beautifully, they cajole us into not giving up too early! They share their abundant faith!)
You are ONLY going to get our, what you put in. If you are sort of dieting, you'll get little results! If you are eye-balling portions you won't get optimal results. If you don't know what you are doing, you want go far! Little in, little out. Read the book, learn the rules, measure the food and stay consistent. There will be a BIG return on that investment!
Weight loss is fickle! It doesn't respond to "come on, give it to me now!". Our bodies take their time because THEY ARE DAMAGED! If you are over weight your metabolism is not in great shape! If you push it, and demand it will only bring about ONE thing....YOU quitting out of frustration. And let's be honest, quitting sets YOU BACK! If you are restarting every Monday, soon you will be sensing hopelessness and that's never good, especially when community can help you stay the course! Together will take the journey because it's longer than we think!
