Something BIG has happened to me and I want to tell you all about it! But HOW? and WHERE? Seems everybody is saying "Look at me, look at me!!!" on social media to the point where we DON'T want to be THAT person! I don't want to be THAT person, but I do want to put my story out there and help you!
I've used Social Media on a daily basis since I wrote that first post, "I'm looking to mentor 3 people" in November 2015. The response was IMMEDIATE! Over 50 people responded in the course of a weekend insisting I pick them! I wasn't expecting it to happen that fast. Since that day I've been learning from the internet about how to market myself and my story. Do youwant to help others with your weight loss story? Here are a few important tips!
#1 KNOW yourself, know your story!
Nothing will replace what you carry with you everywhere you go, YOUR story. Know your story! Spend time with yourself, figure it out in the shower, the car, in traffic while on the cardio machine! Figure out what has happened to you, why it's important to you and how it can help others too. Make two versions: the one you share quickly at a cocktail party when asked "what did you do, you look great?" and the one you share over coffee with someone who says, "please,please help me."
#2 TRY on different Social Media Sites
My favorites are Squarespace for blogging and Facebook for community. I like Instagram to just project a graphic like this. Know the sites and play by their rules of engagement. Instagram is NOT where you write a blog post, for example.
#3 BE Consistent!
I recently started an email subscription list. Click HERE for the link. I have put this off until I could BE consistent! I waited til I had content I could consistently pull from and share with my readers. My goal is to CONSISTENTLY add value and motivation for the weight loss journey. Every Monday Morning. Pick a time, and a place and begin to go there and build a real genuine relationship through the style of the site. You and your story will touch and change lives too!
