Struggling?

I'm in Maintenance and OUT of ketosis presently.  I checked my blood ketone levels. I must have crept over my own carb limit a few days ago.  I knew it before I tested for it.  THE STRUGGLE WAS BACK! And the struggle IS REAL!

You see when you are diligent with a ketogenic approach and you actually get into KETOSIS you will slip into this place where foods are really quiet.  I MEAN IT'S QUIET.  You are not distracted with cravings all the time!  

I know because I'm out of ketosis and THE NOISE IS BACK!

When I'm in ketosis I'm rarely HUNGRY...I never eat or care about food til afternoon.  But when I am out...I want breakfast!  

I know because I am out of ketosis and I WANT BREAKFAST!

When I'm in ketosis little trouble spots don't hurt at all.  Inflammation is reduced significantly.

I know because I'm out of ketosis and my right ankle is BOTHERING ME enough to limp a little.

Keto has made it to the headlines and is reaching celebrity status. There are those just jumping on board and there are those like me, who stay on a maintenance level of a ketogenic diet!  It's how we live now.  But slip out of ketosis and you are simply just lowcarbing it...and you could possibly be IN THE STRUGGLE!
