In maintenance I let my foot of the gas, so to speak. Those things I did religiously. Weight myself, weight my food, measure my ketones... Record my every breath, so it seems, all of that was pretty seamless in my life and kept me very focused. But I've been in maintenance much longer than I was strictly dieting for weight loss. And maintenance is this long winding road that doesn't end...
With my new life, I got busy and much busier as the months have progressed. I've started going-for-it! I've made trips, made friends, put myself out there, took on projects and found myself going 90 miles an hour, stressed out and eating KETO with no boundaries....
I was losing control and over eating. LOSING CONTROL IS STRESSFUL!!! What I said to myself was... "I AM stressed and as soon as things slowed down, I'd get it all back together. " (Let's be honest, things are NOT slowing down...)
That RIGHT THERE!!!
When things get better I WILL...After this wedding I-will. After I get back from vacation, I-will. This mentality has NOT served us well. It's allowed us to just put off what needs to happen. We need to change..
When you make the choice of lifestyle regardless of life you will FIND LIFE! When you do things INSPITE of the stresses or busy life you are leading you FIND LIFE. When you can make it happened wherever you are, YOU WIN!
And remember this..when you eat lowcarb, keto...food gets quiet and in reality you will have more clarity and energy for the situations that are demanding it. I have found I cannot afford to give up my control it keeps me sane in all the stress!
