If you are eating a clean diet, with total control and can maintain your weight and behavior with food...I'd say you've found your food. Food that is whole and food that is quiet, yet supports your health and lifestyle.
I've FOUND THOSE FOODS!
I've removed controlling foods and I've gotten my control back. I bet I say that over 25 times a week in conversation.
Conversations that reveal such pain in the eyes. Such a sense of defeat and shame. Inside we wonder, "what is wrong with me, why can't I do this?" I often think to myself, "it's the foods this person is eating NOT them. They don't know...They're trapped....here is what is going on!
Foods that spike my blood sugar elicit a insulin response and insulin brings a host of meanies to the party with it....Cravings, hunger, crash and burning of energy and fluid retention, and then there is that lovely carb cycle!
BIG POINT right here....This is what is really happening behind that binge that just OVERTOOK you...and left you ashamed and defeated...and preparing to do it all over again!
What foods stop this cycle? #1 Fats. Fats do not raise blood sugar. #2 Moderate amounts of protein. #3 Clean green carbs. When you shift from high carb processed foods, sugars, breads, rice, pasta, and potatoes.... You will stop the carb cycle. People have reversed pre-diabetes and T2Diabetes. Here is a great resource.
