It will come down to the things that make us feel better and perform better.
I think in our food coma's, and that stupor we end up settling for, we totally forget about Quality of life, feeling better and our performance!
On a lowcarb approach with in the first week you are faced with a whole new reality. Once over the carb with drawl and detox you find yourself strangely energized!
You see we have gone from a sugar-burning metabolism to a fat-burning metabolism. That shift happens as soon as your body has burned up all the stored sugars. We can't store much, so if you don't eat, with in a few days your body will shift over to burning fat to fuel you. This! This is what you want! Then a season of adaptation takes place where your body gets use to fats for fuel, either dietary or pulling from your stored fats.
Seems our bodies do pretty darn well with a fat-burning metabolism. Our brains clear, clearly it likes it. Our energy rises and our hunger diminishes because "food" is always available in our fat stores. So we eat less often and often less.
With this new found energy and time we start to get up and move! Getting things done and being productive start to happen everywhere. I remember a client saying to me, "I washed the car AND MOWED THE GRASS...IN-THE-SAME-DAY!!!! Talk about feeling good about things! He's soaring!
Removing sugars and starches will set your body free! Keeping them off your plate and out of your life, WILL change your life!
