In the past 25 months I've been through the weight loss experience and I've also coached countless others on their own weight loss journey. I've walked away with a few very clear understandings...
#1 Carbs are addicting and controlling. Most of us have become addicted and have lost control and are filled with guilt and shame. We're so sure it's our own lack of character. But it's also the foods you are eating that have robbed you of control because..carbs are addicting and controlling.
#2 Removing controlling food restores your control with in a week. When in control you feel better and make better choices. Soon you don't miss the "old days" because the quality of life has completely changed for you.
We often cave in by noon and then have such guilt and shame we end up eating to comfort ourselves....Pretty crazy I know...They call it the Carb-addiction-cycle. I've got it bad...Or I had it bad. I had the guilt and shame too...real bad!
