How did they do it? With commitment, coaching and community!
"She said Yes!" was a program I wrote out from a deep stirring within. Help women get back to purpose by changing their food, their health and eventually their lives!
These women were scared when they arrived at our first "Yes! Group meeting". Yet they had all applied for this opportunity and were committed to trying. We met weekly in January and each week they found themselves feeling better and better because they'd removed controlling and problematic sugars and starches. There was an initial drop in weight that was surprising...but more than weight they all remarked at how much BETTER they felt. It had been a long time since some of them felt as good as they were feeling. Energy was rising and hunger was falling.
At the end of one month I asked, "Will you give me another 30 days?" Hands down everybody was more than agreeable. Hope was beginning to stir. Then I asked them to write out their weight loss story and come prepared to share. That was week 3. On week for they began to share their failures with dieting, their life-long struggles with food, their loss of esteem, confidence and dreams. There were tears, and nods of understanding. A linking of arms began.
