In some of the biggest moments of our lives, there is usually a swirl of fears and insecurities. They have a talk and a chatter you can't mistake because they bring with them just enough truth to get your attention. They often creep in in the night. Others hop in the car and dance while you drive. Where ever you are facing great risk, there are usually big lies!
I'm there! This is probably the biggest week of my life in many regards. As a leader I'm graduating 8 women who have walked out Find Your Food's program for weight loss and lifestyle changes. This program was placed in our local church under the title, "She said Yes!" Yes to her life, her health and her future. Getting women back to life and purpose is the call on my life! I will share my story and present these women this Thursday night.
And...I'm a creative! I'm an art and card maker. My art was used as the icon for this years women's conference. There are cards and cards and cards, plus pieces and a huge 40x60 piece. I've got some big skin in the game.
In the quiet moments I HEAR my fears talking, my insecurities lamenting "why have you done this to us!"...I could easily doubt my work, our success and have my own little meltdown. Yet the fierce winds of insecurity will not disturb my assurance. I am sure of what I have done. SO I don't listen. I hear the voices and the words, but I DO NOT LISTEN.
What are you sure of?
When it comes to keto, I am sure it works because I gave it time.
When it comes to keto I am sure of the benefits because I patiently waited for the hunger to go, the energy to come and the cravings to dance off into someone else's brain!
When it comes to keto, I gave my body a YEAR to lose the 85lbs, not a week.
All along this journey I had to make the choice about hearing and listening...
I listen for hunger and eat then
I listen to the science and seek understanding
I listen to my body and take care of it
I listen to the encouragement of others and embrace
This is so critical when dealing with a diet that requires such a mind shift like Keto does. Fats are good, breakfast isn't necessary, eat when hungry? Exercise is NOT for weight loss but is good for our health. Trust, trust, trust...long before you see.
As I did this I found THE TRUTH. I listen to the results, I listen to the peace I have with food. I listen to the energy that I can sustain. I listen to LIFE!
Oh I still hear the fears, insecurities and lies...But I just don't listen!
