When things change, because we've aged. When weight begins to gather around the belly, and you step over into your 50's...Things do change. Weight isn't easy to get off, working out doesn't seem to do it. Matter a fact nothing seems to work...so you quit trying.
In 10 months of dealing with people this is probably the most common situation that finds it's way to me. Women or athletic women who are in this place and shape!
Having lost 80 plus pounds and returned to endurance sport I can speak from a place about what I've learned and experienced.
I've learned we eat way too many carbs and carbs drive insulin out and insulin drives fat storage up...to the point where we store fat no matter WHAT we do. It's called Insulin Resistance and it's what's most likely a big player in your problems.
I've learned that today's carbs are mostly processed foods, sugars and starches and they are highly addictive so we usually DON'T stop when full, we stop when FINISHED and then it's impact on our brains have us "craving and search for more" in short order.
That's where most of us are...as we age.
I found a solution
Lower the carbs, raise the fats, moderate the protein and ENJOY! The big name diets are: Banting, Dietdoctor, Atkins, and the Mediterranean
Best place to start your search: Eatthebutter.org (under 6 diet options)
I've also learned that some need COMMUNITY and others need a COACH.
We have both available! Contact me, Jess at Findyourfood2@gmail.com I can point you in the right direction...
