This is all too true for me. Carbs had control, the upper hand and they were definitely in charge of what I ate. I've come to accept that these foods are not only addicting, but I'm pretty much addicted.
Now hold on there, that's a pretty BIG label you are putting on my favorite foods, let alone on yourself.

Sugars and Starches and Processed foods are highly problematic, and addictive. Find me ONE article that touts their benefits for quality of life and longevity?
At first we focus on the foods. We identify them, and we remove them and we Find Our Food and begin to come out of the fog, the dependency, the shame...
Then in order to keep the amazing changes we've made or the weight we've lost
WE NEED TO ACCEPT THIS IS OUR FOOD...
Because the carb cycle will crush you all over again...if you don't deal with it and then You!
Because food addictions most likely stem from addictive foods and the body is caught up in this cycle. Going low-carb will break this cycle and give you something in return...LIFE
