This little beast and I don't get along... Give me a scale any day...That tells the big picture, this darn little monster gives the details...and details matter!
The numbers here are the hardest numbers of all to move. So many people get tripped up with the bathroom scale, but this is the monitor from hell and it that tells us what those total pounds are all about..
We forget all about body composition. What's under the skin?
I've dropped over 80lbs, I've gone from a size 22 to a size 6. That is beyond my understanding. But the body fat % is still not so good!
So I've decided to ramp it up and seek to lose some fat. When you are on a High Fat Low Carb diet, you've gone through the whole cycle of letting fat back in your diet, accepting fat and then eating a little fat to then swinging to the far side of putting butter in your coffee and big splashes of heavy whipping cream and making something called a FAT BOMB...Fat has some how become your friend...though a lot of us don't go around admitting to this friendship...
Time to swing the pendulum back a bit to allow my body to burn more of my stored fat...
First thing I did was give up the evening fat treat...That was 16 days ago...and now I'm 3 days into a lower fat approach...For 2 weeks...and resistance training, namely compound moves and using a lot of my own body weight. Swim, bike, run all day long but push ups, crunches and air squats...Not my best life! Death on a stick, hate them...but I've been slowly making it happen.
Well I can pop out 10 push ups just like that now, my knees no longer creak during air squats and I just bought a pair of size 4 shorts...I almost came out and hugged the dressing room attendant...Beyond excited...and... wait for it, waaaiiitttt for it, I've lowered my bodyfat by 1%.
So obviously I have my hands full with the little demon machine...I'd really like to lower my bodyfat and get it in the normal range by lowering it say 6-7%...I'm hopeful that I can achieve that by Christmas...but then I might be able to do a PULL UP too!
