The girl on the left She was desperately trying to hold on to control...Eating high carbs and drinking cold beer. She was losing the battle and gaining the weight, fast. She decided to try and use activity to keep herself focused and stop the gain. One problem was those foods caused so much inflammation in her body that her feet hurt so much with each step, her back was throbbing, she was winded, and just getting up that mountain was a huge achievement and She's a Spin Instructor! AND YET She remembers clearly standing on that precipice looking out wondering how She could "have my cake and eat it too"...She was still far from real change and headed into more pain.
The girl on the Right has got her life back. She Found her Food. When it was time to go back to a diet, She KNEW exactly WHICH ONE...Low carb. Get those addictive carbs, starches and sugars out and give her good whole foods high in fat and FOOD GETS QUIET and MANAGEABLE for her. The girl on the Right quietly went about her diet, she also decided to be brutally HONEST with herself. She looked down at her food and realized "this food makes me feel so much better when I eat this way..." The girl on the Right has worked on ACCEPTANCE that the foods that brought weight loss and gave her her life again where in fact HER FOODS...the ones her body performed best on. The ones she liked enough to sustain long enough to lose over 80lbs and then sustain that loss on. The girl on the Right, CHANGED and accepted this truth.
She went from this
This girl decided to really CHANGE instead of DIET. She made the choice to deal with HERSELF not just HER food...She is Me! Today I'm focused, and enjoy my food. Today I am carrying a message of HOPE and HELP. All about going from below-average living-surviving to above-average living-thriving. Through Envisioning | Encouraging | Equipping I coach others through this journey. I can't go back to the foods that made me sick, fat and hurting all over...because they'll make me sick, fatter and give me more inflammation to deal with.
How many times can you afford to JUST diet instead of change?
