Do you do it BEFORE you eat?
Do you do it AFTER you eat?
In my coaching practice, I listen for when if at all an App comes into play in your diets. Do you use one? WHEN do you use it? WHY do you use it? HOW effective is it?
Truth be told, I HATE EM! Ok, hate is a strong word, what I HATE is restraint! (truth) I hate putting myself under restraint! (more truth) I also hate having to learn another little program...Learning curves kill me...(excuse) " I don't have the time for this!" (excuse)
SUCK IT UP AND JUST DO IT
We will be far more successful if we pay close ATTENTION to what we're DOING! What we're eating and how MUCH we're eating. When we don't see the results, I start right there with the questions. When I see overages on macros I ask WHEN do you record your food? Before or after YOU EAT IT?
#1 Make time | Take time | Pre-record
I can tell you from experience, WEIGHT LOSS started when I really took this to heart and recorded everything, BEFORE I ate it. It was a plan of action not a journal entry!
#2 Be honest with your portions
My eyes were really opened when I saw what 4oz of protein looked like. No more guessing, and that actually made me honest and skinnier!
#3 Submit to restraint
THIS one right here...We need to TAKE A KNEE and submit ourselves. It's at the crux of all of it. Once we begin to do that we actually FEEL BETTER. It's true and you know it. It's hard ,and it hurts like hell, but once we do it...and accept it..(especially if you are on a ketogenic diet where your appetite is suppressed) you comply and start to feel relief! Because self-discipline restores self-trust.
