We mistake so many things we're feeling as hunger.
Today I'm tired, tapped out. It happens. Thing is we're all tired, all the time! How often do You mistake tiredness for hunger or use sugars as a remedy? But for now, I'm tired and feeling off. I use to always reach for food thinking it's hunger, UNTIL hunger went away. Now I have to take some time to differentiate what I'm feeling
I'm tired not hungry!
I'm usually NOT hungry
That took some time to not only figure out but ACCEPT.
What a bummer, I'm not hungry. So I can't eat, right?
Dr. Jason Fung says "we eat too much and too often".
I surely did.
I'm a sad tired puppy today, but I'm not hungry!
Fat people don't THINK, we EAT! So when we have to employ our thought process and discernment it's like working with a new tool.
A few Tips:
WAIT 1 hour before eating .
STEP OFF for a moment and examine everything going on. Is it tiredness? Emotions? Stress? or....real hunger?
DECIDE what to eat before heading to the kitchen, store or restaurant I don't wing it in that moment, I plan it out!
COMMIT to a plan and stay committed to my way of eating. That's non-negotiable. I don't negotiate with terrorists...and sugar is a terrorist!
Tomorrow I will be very pleased with how I managed today!
