No I've not read this book yet. But...fasting has been on my mind. I've been very successful at Intermittent fasting and I do love it...But I've been in need of something a bit stronger...A moment of BIG refocusing.
For years and years I've been involved with fasting for spiritual purposes. But never to sharpen my control over food. Sharpen some elbow grease if you will over myself.
HERE IS MY PERSONAL PLAN
#1 Have food available
Always, always, always have appropriate food available. i have been on a LCHF approach for 2 yrs and haven't eaten off my plan in those 2 yrs and a fast is
NOT GOING TO BLOW ME OFF COURSE!
#2 Acknowledge this is my first attempt.
BE CAREFUL...I will have a BPC today and see if it holds me til tomorrow, and if not I will have one tomorrow and one on Wed. morning. Why? Because I'm not interested in just jumping in and going all crazy...This is the beginning of a practice.
If you come to my Spin class I encourage you to BEGIN a PRACTICE OF SPINNING...You will not be able to sustain the effort needed the entire class. So rest, catch your breath, ease up when you need to...And...
COME BACK AND ESTABLISH A PRACTICE IF YOU LIKE IT....
Soon you'll be able to rock an entire class.
Same with Fasting.

I expect this to be hard. I am up for that. I expect I will have to exert my will. I am willing to try. Ya'll are watching...I'll do it for Me, but I'll share it with you. THAT motivates me the most...
