There is the dialog ongoing...Fear of Failure often stops us...
And that's ok...it's ok to hold the ground you have until you are ready for the next steps.
The question is how to handle it when you are ready....
3 steps to your next step forward!
#1 Make a plan | Trust the plan!
This requires a bit of investigation and consideration. What is next on your low carb approach? Limiting carbs? Increasing fats? Adding exercise? Fasting? What will your next move be when you decide you are ready to go! Make a plan, consider the option you'd LIKE TO TRY...and consider it in that light...."I'd LIKE TO TRY....(fasting?)....So read about fasting. Dietdoctor had got a lot to share with all the information Dr. Jason Fung has brought to the movement. Maybe it's dial back carbs....Look into how that's done...Banting has a great Green list...
#2 STEP don't JUMP!
To me, this is most critical...Watch your step, be careful how you step. Get organized with a time limit to test things. "I'll do this for 2 weeks and see"...I see so many people who FAIL because they just jump in and have no earthly idea what they're doing...Failure is more then imminent, it's a certainty! Since we're afraid of failing...Don't jump!
#3 Put the Changes on a Chain
Control the step you have taken...Put yourself on a leash. I see people see to change and they just put 2 or 3 new factors on the table and nobody knows what works or what doesn't because they put too many factors out there...One thing at a time...You are in an investigation to see if a change in your eating and or foods leads to a better place...limit the factors that must be judged.
This is exciting, you are taking your new self-control and seeking the next step in weight loss or management and you are looking forward! You are investigating your options...That's brand new concept for you. But this is how we figure out what works for each of us.
